The Right to Buy Scheme
Right to Buy allows most council tenants to buy their council home at a discount.
Section 120 & Schedule 5 of the Housing Act 1985 – As from the 21st June 2017 we no longer able to accept new applications for the Right to Buy scheme from Victoria Centre tenants. This is due to the lease life remaining to be 50 years or less.
This does not affect your right to buy should you become the tenant of another property in the future, subject to the qualifying criteria of the Right to Buy scheme at that time.
